The DCP1m is used during the pre-polishing stage in restorative dentistry to refine and smooth composite or hybrid ceramic restorations:

Restoration placement and initial contouring: After placing and curing the restoration material, the surface may have minor irregularities or rough areas.

Pre-polishing: The pointed shape is ideal for the precise smoothing and contouring of detailed areas, including grooves, fissures, and interproximal spaces.

Operate the instrument within the recommended speed range of 3,000 to 8,000 RPM for controlled and effective pre-polishing.

Final polishing: Once pre-polishing is complete, proceed with a fine-grit high-shine polisher to achieve a smooth, reflective finish.

Inspection: After pre-polishing, the restoration is checked to ensure the surface is uniformly smooth and ready for the final polish.
